CSULB New Student Orientation T-shirt Design
Every summer, CSULB hosts their daily orientations for new students. As part of their first official day on campus, they receive a swag bag and t-shirt.
This summer (2022), I was presented with the opportunity to create the design for the shirt. I pulled inspiration from already existing designs while also taking into consideration what students would feel proud to wear around campus.
Thus, the CSULB Landmark design was born. Although the concept is not new, the composition, illustrations and type are completely my own and drawn by hand.
CSULB Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden Logo Revamp
During the Fall of 2021, the Japanese Garden at CSULB was looking to adopt a new look to their existing logo. In the form of a contest, they allowed students to submit different ideas for a new logo.
If you haven't guessed yet, my logo design was chosen as the new official Japanese Garden logo!
I was an intern for the garden back in 2019  so during the brainstorming process, I used my existing knowledge of the garden and what they are most popular for to create this design. I brought a more modern look and feel to the logo through simplified illustrations of koi fish and typography that subtly hints at Japanese origami.
ASI Elections Campaign
I was asked by a fellow peer of mine to work on their campaign as the lead graphic designer where I would develop their social media presence, as well as create posters that would be posted throughout the campus. In the end, almost every member running for a position as part of the campaign was elected into ASI for the 2022-2023 academic year.
